A million-dollar arm--no kidding |
|
Chris Bostic is a $10-an-hour landscaper whose favorite football memories used to be running for touchdowns as a kid. But after his perfect 25-yard spiral made it though the tiny hole in a promotional contest, the Army veteran has a new favorite memory--and is South Carolina''s newest millionaire. Bostic''s pass at the end of the first quarter of the Florida State-Clemson game Saturday won him $1 million in a company''s promotion. "It took forever in the air," he said. "But as it started to come down, I started thinking it just might go in." Bostic had been a high school linebacker and had thought about joining the Army. He enlisted after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Bostic will use part of the money to take his 8-year-old daughter on a shopping spree. (() |
